Patios, paths & gathering areas
Paver patios, walkways, firepit seating, and outdoor gathering areas are listed services. Layout and material changes can define separate uses within one connected space.

Shorehome Construction / Life outside
Bring the outdoor plan together.
Connect the places you use outside with considered surfaces, paths, steps, and gathering areas. Shorehome looks at hardscapes as part of how the property works.
01 / Start with a clear idea
A path should lead comfortably to the place you want to go. A patio should hold the way you gather. Steps and changes in level should fit into that journey. Considering those elements together makes the outdoor plan more useful.
Existing grades, drainage, access, and the relationship to the house inform the work. We discuss materials and finishes alongside these conditions so the project has a clear direction below the surface as well as above it.

02 / Shape the scope
Start with the changes that matter to you. We’ll discuss how they connect, what the property tells us, and what belongs in the agreed project.
Paver patios, walkways, firepit seating, and outdoor gathering areas are listed services. Layout and material changes can define separate uses within one connected space.
Outdoor steps, decorative stone walls, retaining walls, borders, and edging can be discussed. Walls that retain soil require an appropriate assessment of their structural and drainage requirements.
The existing site includes driveway installation and driveway pavers. Vehicle access and loading are considered separately from pedestrian paving, with the final scope based on the property.
03 / Planning priorities
A path or gathering area should work with the rest of the property. Consider the routes, changes in level, and materials that will bring the outdoor spaces together.
Identify the doorways, paths, parking, and gathering spaces you want to connect.
A question to bringWhich routes would make the property easier to use?
Share problem areas where water collects or levels are awkward. Those conditions shape the design.
A question to bringWhat should we consider at the awkward levels or wet areas?
Coordinate paving, stone, borders, and the home's exterior instead of choosing each element separately.
A question to bringHow can the paving and borders work with our home?
These are starting points for your conversation. The scope and selections are discussed around your actual home and property.
Talk through your projectThe work. The details.
Outdoor setting photography comes from Shorehome's Kentucky portfolio. Planning graphics illustrate potential connections without claiming an unphotographed completed hardscape project.

You can start before every selection is settled. A few photographs and a clear description of what you want to change make the property visit more useful.
